WHO ARE YOU TO GOD?

Tonight I'd like to pose an unusual question. You have doubtless been asked before or asked yourself, "Who is God to you?" but I'm asking instead, "Who are you to God?"

So many of you have told me you want to grow closer to God...to tap into what Brother Cerullo calls "revelation knowledge" of Him. To some, this comes more easily than to others. Many wonder why God speaks to some people and not others. Believe me; He wants to speak to each of you! Why doesn't He? Why does He show Himself differently to each of us?

Through the psalmist, we are given a clue. He says, "To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd. You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty...my God turns my darkness into light" (Psalm 18:25-28, NIV).

Who are you to God? A great deal of God's personal communication to you is determined by who you choose to be before Him! Invite the Holy Spirit to help you examine your heart tonight. Ask yourself, "Who am I to God?" Be honest with yourself. Are you cold toward Him? Withdrawn? Is He a second or third priority? Do you truly love Him? Are you open to His leading? Consider these things tonight and rest easy, determining to grow into even closer communication with Him tomorrow.

God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, I thank You that my relationship with You is growing daily and that You desire to bring me into revelation knowledge of Yourself. Help me to open myself to You and enter into deeper communion with You than ever before. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
