A DISCERNING EYE

Where are your spiritual eyes focused tonight? If the events of the day have been a disaster, do you see your Lord or a circumstantial mess? If you are faced with the impossible, do you see a miraculous God, or overwhelming odds?

Brother Cerullo and I learned long ago that the amount of rest you get during times of trouble is in direct proportion to where your eyes are focused! This is so important. He produced a special plaque with a revelation God gave him for our partners, which I cherish. It reads:

"God said, Don't look to the bigness of your need. Look to the bigness of your God! Your circumstances are hindrances to seeing My abilities.' If you keep your eyes on your circumstances, the devil will use your circumstances to defeat you and accuse the Word of God...the written and the Living Word. Your victory is in keeping your eyes on the bigness of your God and His ability. He has promised to take you step by step, not all at once, but step by step...and each step will be a miracle!"

Train your eye to be focused on Him, for He also says:

"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness" (Matthew 6:22, NKJV).

Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together…
God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father, how grateful I am that You are still the God of miracles, and that You want to work miracles in my life. Teach me to get my eyes off my circumstances and the bigness of my need, and onto You. I want my eye to be single and full of light. Then I will see You leading me step by step, and I will know that each step is a miracle! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
