GOD OF GENERATIONS

Tonight, do you feel a great concern for the spiritual welfare of your children? Are you troubled over where they may be heading? Maybe you weren’t fortunate enough to have parents who set a godly example in raising you, so now that you have children, you’re not quite sure what to do.

In the Bible, we see a tragic pattern repeated many times. Head knowledge of God was passed from generation to generation, but personal love of Him (and obedience to Him) deteriorated as news of His miracles was repeated secondhand and thirdhand. Perhaps, even for some of you, the knowledge of God that came to you from your parents was less than you would have preferred.

Whether or not you were taught at an early age doesn’t matter now. You have the opportunity to make a different impression of God to your children now! As David said, “This...the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face...One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts...Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness” (Psalms 24:6 145:4, 6, NKJV).

This is the day of miracles! Whether you were raised with a vibrant knowledge of God or not, don’t miss the rich opportunity to present Him to your children and other young people as the real, personal, loving, powerful Father He is!

Heavenly Father, thank You for the rich opportunity I have to learn to know You better and show my children Who You really are! Bring Your life to my home and miracles to my life, so I may continually declare Your greatness to this and the next generation! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
